Bar Rescue:

Mixology Challenge

Ready to mix it up with the masters? The elements of a well-made cocktail work much like a team; different spirits, liquors, sweeteners, and citrus combine to make one mouth-watering beverage. Understanding this synergy, and how the ingredients in a cocktail work harmoniously together, has tremendous parallels to when you consider how the strengths of each team member combine to achieve your end goal.
In this spirited team building activity, the group will be divided into smaller mixologist teams. Each team will be challenged with creating the best tasting cocktail from scratch. Teams will each have their own working station that will include all the necessary tools and ingredients provided by the venue.
All teams will have the same basic items and it is up to them to decide how they will shake (or stir!) their cocktails. By completing special tasks, teams can earn additional ingredients to add flair to their creation. They must work against the clock and each other to create the most flavorful and innovative cocktail that goes down the smoothest.
This challenge requires collaboration and creativity as teams work together to win over the taste buds of the judges. Teams must market their drink to our panel. They will be judged on creativity, presentation, and taste.

Whatever kind of cake you make, I know you’ll have such fun, just as sweet outside as inside and admired by everyone!
In this frosty challenge, teams will design, frost, and decorate a masterpiece of a cake. Each team will be given the same ingredients to decorate, but before they begin our master designer will give them a few tips and tricks on making the cake look as nice as it tastes.

Chili Cook Off

In this culinary team building activity, the group will be divided into smaller cooking teams. Each team will be challenged with creating the best tasting chili from scratch. All teams will have the same items at their station, and it is up to them to decide how they will build their culinary masterpiece. There is no standard recipe, so each team will create their own to try and out-do the other teams. Will your team go for savory, spicy, or smoky?
Teams will each have their own work station that will include all the necessary tools and ingredients. They will not only taste the beans of their labor, they will experience first-hand what it is like to earn each ingredient as a team while working on important skills such as communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
Teams will work against the clock and each other to create the best tasting chili that they will then market to our panel of expert judges, using their most creative ideas. Maybe a jingle, catchy ad campaign, or a tag line will leave an impression the judges won’t be able to forget.

This gastronomic challenge combines creativity with culinary skills as teams work together to win over the taste buds of the judges. All the while, teams will enjoy the creativity and camaraderie of the competition while having a great time and enjoying the team building process.
